Charlotte City Council Approves Bank of America Stadium Renovation Project

Charlotte City Council has approved a partnership with Tepper Sports & Entertainment to renovate Bank of America Stadium.
The vote was 7-3 with council members voting in favor.
With a price tag of $650 Million, Tepper Sports & Entertainment owner, David Tepper, expressed gratitude for the collaboration and support from city officials and fans.
A 20 year non-relocation agreement is included in the agreement.
The partnership aims to create a shared vision for the stadium, which has been home to the Carolina Panthers for nearly 30 years.
The renovation project will also benefit Charlotte FC and the community, providing a venue that meets the needs of players and fans for years to come.
Work on the renovations will start in 2026.
