Rihanna recently dispelled rumors of her retirement from music, clarifying that her comment was a glimpse into the future and not an announcement of retirement.
“I’m not retired. The dress I mentioned was a gift that I adored. It seems the second line was overlooked. I’m retired from dressing up—it requires too much effort,” the singer elaborated.
Rihanna has also made history by achieving the most RIAA diamond-certified records among female artists, with seven in total.
This milestone, she notes, reinforces her desire to create “timeless” music. “It’s a testament to my fans and the quality of the music.
It reminds me of how I should approach my next album. I aim for timelessness, like the song ‘Diamonds,’ creating music that resonates with people.
The fact that my fans continue to listen to my music, even without new releases, and that I’m breaking records while in a different mindset, is incredible.
It’s a testament to their loyalty and support.” Which Rihanna track do you favor the most?
