Online gift registries are always going to be divisive . . . even when they DO make sense, like for weddings and baby showers.
They make it so you KNOW the gift is something they want. It also makes sure they don’t get multiples of the same thing. But on the other hand, it feels impersonal, especially if it’s just sent to them directly from Amazon.
There’s apparently a new trend of people creating online gift registries for CHILDREN’S BIRTHDAY PARTIES. But not everyone thinks it’s appropriate.
In a poll, 33% of people are cool with it . . . 50% think it’s unacceptable . . . and 17% aren’t sure how they feel about it.
The demographic most likely to be cool with it is: Gen Z men. And the most AGAINST it is: Boomer women
