Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is suing the North Carolina State Board of Elections to remove his name from the state’s ballot after withdrawing from battleground states.

The board denied his request, citing practicality issues and absentee voting deadlines.

Kennedy’s lawsuit which was filed in Wake County Superior Court, claims the board violated his rights and harmed him irreparably.

He suspended his campaign in swing states and endorsed Trump, but the board refused to remove him from the ballot.

Other swing states, Michigan and Wisconsin, also rejected his removal request.

The board has scheduled an emergency meeting to address the issue.

Vice President Kamala Harris has visited NC eight times and Trump will be back in Charlotte this Friday (09/06) to speak at a Fraternal Order of Police event.
