A new study from the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance reveals that Charlotte-Mecklenburg’s population growth remains strong, with an average of 117 new residents moving to the region every day.

This surge in population is one of the highest in the past 15 years, putting Charlotte in line with cities like Atlanta and ahead of Raleigh and Nashville.

The report shows that about 500,000 people moved to the area last year, with Virginia, New York, and California leading the list of states sending newcomers.

While the region’s growth reflects its appeal, challenges such as traffic congestion and affordable housing need to be addressed to accommodate the increasing population.
