Furry Friday Clear The Shelter Edition!!

For the big NBC Clear the Shelters event, we are featuring 9 special dogs that need their FUREVER homes. Please share their stories and help Mix 107.9 and Animal Care & Control clear the shelter!! 8315 Byrum Dr. 11-5 Saturday!

Miley A1225873 She is 2 years old and 45-pound compact-size boxer mix. She possesses a sweet demeanor and is a “happy-go-lucky” dog. She loves kids and is very gentle! She enjoys going to doggy daycare and playing with friends there. Miley is 50% playful, 50% lazy, and 100% great dog!

Nellie A1230853. This sweet girl is a lab/boxer mix and is around 5 years old and 50 lbs. Loves dogs. Plays well and very happy disposition. Crate trained. Non destructive, loves car rides, and great temperament.

Laila A1222988 is a bundle of sweetness. This sweet pup has endured trauma, but it doesn’t stop her from being the biggest love bug! Sweet Laila has blossomed in her foster home. She is perfectly house trained, can be left out (no crate needed!), loves kids, dog friendly and literally the best snuggle bug ever. Laila loves to be around her person. She will sleep on the bed with you or in a dog bed next to your bed. She will patiently wait for you while you are out and about and is always excited to see you when you come home! Miss Laila is also a girls’ girl and would prefer to be adopted by a female or a family.

Niex A1204855 One year old 50 lbs! Such a gentle and calm husky. Love being loved on! Very friendly. Great on leash. Did well during his bath. Seems potty trained. Loves kids. Leans right in to his human.

Ella Jane A1225723 an energetic, sweet & gorgeous 1-2yr old spayed mixed breed pup. She would love a running or hiking partner. She is house and crate trained, tolerant of resident cats and trying to play a little with them. Requires extremely slow intros with other dogs. Ella Jane loves her people and giving hugs. She thrives on consistency and would be an ideal candidate for continued training.

For all the big dog lovers, Durango A1229244 is a very handsome, 70lb, lab mix. He’s said to be 4 years old, though he’s not going to let you believe it as he’s got a ton of youthful, goofy and fun energy! He loves to play fetch with his tennis ball or stuffed toys and is incredibly dog friendly and excellent at reading dog cues. He enjoys puzzle toys and melting into your lap for a belly rub. Durango is neutered and potty trained, he knows “sit” and is working on basic manners and loose leash walking. He’s very enthusiastic but will benefit from a patient adopter willing to keep working on his training.

Dot A1227925 a 1-year-old, 53 pound pit mix, wants one thing: companionship. House and crate trained, dog-friendly, medium energy. Loves snuggling on the couch, playing with other dogs, and bouncing around the house. She’s quickly learned some basic commands, listening to redirection well. An affectionate, playful pup, she has her whole life ahead of her, and she’s waiting on her perfect family. In foster, she’s learning to trust again as she overcomes her fears and gains her confidence back. The world can be scary for her, and so she’s looking for a calm, patient family who is willing to watch.

Luna A5417678 is a 2 year old 40 lb Boxer mix. She is crate trained, housebroken, loves to play fetch and will even bring it back and drop it. She loves playing with other dogs, and just finished up a week of board and train so she is more than ready for her new home!!

Deyojee A1229394. This steel gray boy 6year old is 59 lbs. He loves a car ride and LOVES tennis balls. Entertains himself well! He seems potty trained. Doesn’t bark too much. Non reactive and seems to love all people. This boy always has a smile!
