Some parents spend MONTHS deliberating potential baby names.  Others pull a name out of thin air the moment the baby arrives.  But no matter how it happens, a chunk of parents want a RE-DO.

In a new survey, 9% of mothers admit that they’ve regretted the name they gave their child.  And 10% say their kid’s name just doesn’t fit their personality.

15% of moms have had people negatively critique or mock their child’s name.

Of course, you can always make slight tweaks . . . at least early on.  20% of mothers say they’ve grown to prefer a nickname, whether it’s a shorter version of the name or a different name altogether.  And 15% say they prefer their kid’s middle name.

6% of moms have gone as far as to legally change their kid’s first or last name.
