If you’re driving more than three or four hours with your kids for Thanksgiving, you might want to break it up into two days . . . because that’s right when you’ll start HATING them.
A poll of parents with kids under 12 found “peak stress” hits three-and-a-half hours into traveling. One in eight said within the first hour.
Here are a few quick stats from the poll . . .
1. 60% said traveling with their kids is the most stressful part of the holidays.
2. The most stressful aspects are keeping them entertained . . . dealing with tantrums . . . finding bathrooms . . . and hearing lines like, “Are we there yet?”
3. 28% of parents would rather listen to “Baby Shark” for the whole trip than travel with a screaming child. 13% would rather get a root canal.
4. The top strategies for dealing with a fussy kid are to give them unlimited screentime, and bribe them with junk food.
