Black Friday online shopping reached a new high this year, with sales totaling $10.8 billion, more than double the amount spent in 2017.

Thanksgiving Day online shopping also set a record at $6.1 billion, up nearly 9% from the previous year.

Toys were a major driver of online sales, with overall toy sales up 622%, along with increases in jewelry, appliances, apparel, and electronics.

Some of the most popular toys this year? Harry Potter LEGO sets, “Wicked” toys, card and board games, Disney Princess toys and dolls, and Cookeez Makery oven play sets.

Mobile shopping accounted for over half of Black Friday online sales, indicating a shift towards online shopping over in-store purchases.

Overall retail sales, including both online and in-store, were up 3.4% this year.
