Carolina Panthers rookie receiver Xavier Legette shocked fans by revealing he ate raccoon for Thanksgiving dinner.

The first-round draft pick shared his unconventional meal choice on the St. Brown Podcast, surprising NFL brothers Amon-Ra and Equanimeous St. Brown.

Legette, a South Carolina native, explained that he hunts, skins, cooks, and eats raccoons, squirrels, and rabbits.

“I hunt it, I kill it, I skin it, cook ‘em, eat ‘em. All of that,” he said.

“All my people do hunting and all that,” Legette explained.

“My cousin is the one that killed it, and came and was like, ‘Come on, we got the raccoon.’ ”

Despite the unusual menu, he insists that raccoon has a unique taste that is not comparable to chicken.
