Meet our Furry Friday Friends of the Week!
Violet A1228132 She is a 6 year old, spayed 68 lb Bulldog pit mix. This poor girl has been at the shelter since May of 2024. She has never had a family of her own. She is house and crate trained but not a huge fan of the crate. She is an affectionate, loving and cuddly girl. Self entertains with toys and balls. She’s a Velcro dog who is happiest when she is with her people. She does ok with dogs who match her energy or are submissive7/25 but slow intros are always recommended.
Indy 1234818 He is a 5 year old 58 lbs Staffy pit mix.
He loves to give kisses and be around his people but is content to hangout while you’re away at work! He’s potty trained and nondestructive! In the backyard he loves to romp around with a basketball by himself or playing fetch with people too! Possibly dog friendly, not extensively tested but shows playful behavior towards them! Rides perfectly well in the car! Can be strong on leash but listens and can be easily trained, is best with a harness! He’s just a silly guy working on building confidence around loud or unfamiliar noises!
Both of these dogs are available through Animal Care & Control in Charlotte.
As with any rescue or shelter dog, please follow the 3:3:3 rule. These dogs need to decompress….3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn your routine, 3 months to feel safe and part of your home. Give them time and patience. SLOW INTROS are always recommended for any new dog entering a new home.
