Furry Friday Friends Of The Week

Meet our Furry Friday Friends of the Week 🐶🐶
Both of these cuties are available through Gilmore Dog Rescue.
Gilmore Dog Rescue is asking for the community’s help to save the life of a young pit bull named Big Red, a recent rescue in desperate need of medical treatment and a safe place to recover.
Big Red was found two months ago by Shelley Gilmore, one of the rescue’s founders, and appears to have been used in dog fighting. He was badly injured and is now undergoing treatment for heartworm, along with other critical care needs. Crate and house trained. Neutered and fully vaccinated. Gentle and quiet, loves naps and toys. Enjoys playing in the backyard and going for walks on a harness. Friendly but shy—still healing emotionally. Gets along well with the resident cat. 😻
Meet Ollie, a sweet and spirited 5-year-old hound mix who’s ready to find a new home! Ollie is a sun-bathing, fetch-loving, pool-playing, car-ride enthusiast who also happens to know all his basic commands—and yes, he can even crawl!
Ollie is crate trained, great with people, and does well around other dogs. He would thrive in an active home: either with children over the age of 10
or an adult(s) who can keep up with his playful nature. Hounds need to work and play! Due to a significant change in his family’s life circumstances, they were forced to make the incredibly difficult decision to rehome Ollie. He is currently in foster care and is: Neutered and around 50lbs. Up to date on care. Fully trained. Very dog-friendly.
Gilmore Dog Rescue will provide all supplies needed for fostering, including a crate, bed, and food. Big Red is also available for adoption for anyone ready to give him the love, patience, and stability he needs.
To donate, foster, or adopt, visit gilmoredogs.com or contact Shelley Gilmore at 980-457-5033.
As with any rescue or shelter dog, please follow the 3:3:3 rule. These dogs need to decompress….3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn your routine, 3 months to feel safe and part of your home. Give them time and patience. SLOW INTROS are always recommended for any new dog entering a new home.
